On Saturday 21st October Councillors from Eldon Parish Council welcomed Dehenna Davison MP to the Community Centre to discuss the ongoing concerns raised by residents and members of the Council. This was followed by a walk around the Parish to highlight the issues that the local community are facing.
Several matters were brought to her attention, some of which included fly tipping, footpaths and lighting, empty properties, road safety and anti social behaviour.
Miss Davison and Mr Jack Bell (Chief of Staff) indicated that they would look into several of the matters and would invite other stakeholders with an interest in the community to a meeting at a date in the near future.
Parish Council Chairman Mr John Gibson thanked Miss Davison for visiting and said he would welcome any support that the MP and the Local Authority could offer to address residents concerns and make improvements to the community.
